McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the British manufacturer’s custom car division, has presented a special limited edition of the 650S coupe. This series of just 50 cars commemorates the victory of the McLaren F1 GTR in the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours Race.
The new 650S Limited Edition is distinguished by its Dark Blue paint, which calls to mind that of the car that triumphed at the Sarthe circuit close to 20 years ago. Orange brake calipers, a roof snorkel, a spoiler and a commemorative plaque also set the coupe apart from the standard version. The cabin, sporty yet refined, features carbon fiber as well as Alcantara and leather.
This limited edition car comes with the same 650hp, 3.8-liter, twin turbo V8 fuel engine as the standard 650S, which takes the car from 0 to 100km/h in just 3 seconds, 0 to 200km/h in 8.4 seconds and 0 to 300km/h in 25.4 seconds.
This special version is produced in a limited edition of just 50 cars, all of them coupes, which will go on sale in early 2015. Pricing details were not announced.
